Any advice gratefully accepted on correct way of removing dash panel to allow fitting of new radio.Vehicle is 2001 AE111 Corolla hatch. Radio is mounted in raised panel in top centre of dash. Thanks.

Take it to an Auto Sparky or Car Audio installer.
You'll be glad you did, in the long run.

From memory there is a vent panel under the radio console,remove that vent panel(clipped in),then look up towards the radio console,undo 2 bolts or screws and theconsole will come away.Reasonably straight forward.
