does anyone know if the front wheel bearings on these cars are the same fitted to any other makes of cars I guess the austin westminster would be the same.try to track down some for my trailer .

BMC's of the era usually had preloaded ball bearings - thrust ball bearings with a spacer between.Common in the day,but imperial bearings can be hard to find now.

As ladatrouble says and they only fit in one direction in the hub too, so be warned!
Wrongly fitted spells disaster.

A spacer between the bearings determines the exact position & thrust that type of bearing requires.
The bearings themselves will have thrust side stamped on them, if you are replacing them yourself pay particular attention to how the old ones are mounted in the hubs, it's possible they may fall apart when dismantling them and I suggest having them changed by some one in the know as they are easily to reassemble INCORRECTLY which as I said can spell disaster.
Any garage that has had former experience with BMC cars (most likely old guys working at a Honda Agent) would be the best bet or even an engineering shop as they will be familiar with the type!
Better still any specialists in BLMC Minis,1100's, 1800's will be familiar as the bearing units are similar in them.Cheers Good luck.
Good idea to have a workshop manual for the type.
I have one here for the 4 cylinder cars if you are interested that I could list for sale , the procedure in it will be same as you are tackling here.

Seeing as you are talking about a trailer, I'd be inclined to go for the tapered roller bearing set up which you'll need suitable hubs and axle stubs for.
Single thrust bearings I would say are scarce and very expensive compared to the usual tapered roller type which are easy to source parts for also.

Austin Westminster A99 -A110, Wolseley 6/99-6/110 and Van Den Plas Princess 3 litre are virtually the same car just variations of really. Then Van Den Plas later bought out in Princes 4 litre 'R' form with the Rolls Royce 3.9 litre 6 cyl engine.
