Yeah, he's getting around 230 - 235k's up the straight.I think that's pretty good.
Now, can I fit those paddle shifters onto the Legnum.hmmm.

God knows, my husband was there along with my parents. What I find bizarre is that I go on tmmb (on the all thread options) and see a post on 'hampton downs' which is what made me click on the link.I clicked on the youtube video and see that the video is from my own login name!

I really like the whole format of the video - good definition, a view of the track and another of the driver, and the small area top-left showing the position the car is on the track. And of course the lap time and lap number.Top effort.

Very nice video. I enjoyed that, Thanks. Good also to see the other drivers paying attention & being courteous, race or no race.

Husband here, yes the 430 ran perfectly for the full three hours but we picked up puncture just past pit lane entrance so had to do an extremely slow lap getting back to the pits.We had a total of x5 stops instead of the scheduled x2 but managed to get back up to 3rd overall. The video overlay is working well but could still do with a couple of tweaks like adding a braking graphic along side the throttle.Cheers.

19 secs faster than my best - but a standard 40 year old Volvo 164 all cast iron straight 6 engine, in bog standard trim, knocking out 95bhp at the wheels isn't exactly a performance engine!
Great video though.Thanks Townie.

For video overlay we use a data logger called video vbox from Racelogic. You can tap directly into the vehicles CAN system and display selected channels e.g. throttle, engine speed, individual wheel speed, steering angle etc. The GPS antenna allows you to create track maps and overlay captured data onto google earth and also allows you to compare driving lines - its a good bit of kit

Sounds just as expensive as the Ferrari though!, I wouldnt mind joining the Fiat clubs Track days once in a while, with a nice classic car, I just need to be able to afford it first!
