Meh, don't like the Sevens crowd, don't go to the Sevens. Most of the people there seemed to be enjoying themselves, and left the chips on their shoulders at home, something Dave Moore seems to be still working towards.
Good on Ruapuna organisers, sounds like they provided a great day.

I was there. The Skope Classic is always an awesome day out. Just about as many cool cars in the carpark as on the track :)
Its probably the most friendly spectator event I attend. You always have a yarn to whoever you park up next to on the bank and most of the drivers are happy to tell you about their pride and joys.
The yellow Sierra Cosworth hatch is my favourite. Such a monster.

Actually I dont agree with what Dave Moore said.
I suspect the crowds at both events had a darn good time, and went home happy. I went to the Skope on saturday & it was awesome. F5000s are something else and seeing the Sylvester Chev was worth the price of admission on its own,
The Welly 7s is a big party and its celebrated (and promoted) as such. throw in a NZ win and everyone had a good time.
Is there something wrong with that!

Event envy. Maybe Dave Moore just doesn't get out enough.
