go to the google home page, click on ''books'' then ''magazines'' and scroll along untill you find ''popular mechanics'' and you can read all the old ones from the1950's ,1960's etc. Lots of projects for automotive & D.I.Y, lots of period adverts as well for cigarettes , guns ,and other cool stuff,Just like dad used to read ,before we all got soft.

I buy them whenever they are at book fairs , amazing what people thow out.But. Im no better , biffed all myamericanCar Craft &Hot rodmags &NZ drag racing &hot rod, couldnt give them away so went into recycling bin .

Hahaha, nope the Playboys were in my Grandad's shed. Thinking back to those old mags it's a miracle the giant 70's beavers didn't turn me gay.

It sounds good to look back, but I cant see any of them.Each time i tryI get connection timed out error and when click retry it times out as well.Maybe one day it will work

I have a bound set of Popular Mechanics from the 50's, fantastic reading and "proper" projects. My favorites are the "shop alarm" which dials your home number to tell you your shop is being burgled. it literally dials the number with a mechanical finger!

The first microwave ovens for use on airlines and other technology that I thought of as much more modern is quite fascinating. As well as the army surplus and job opportunities for returned servicemen.
