taken it to shop,they coudnt tell me said to come back in and get it put on some machine to see where the problem is.its idling at 1500 when it should be around 900 to 1000,is there anything i can check change or clean to see if it helps.as its going to cost me 100 dollers just to run it though this machine ,any help whould be great

LOL a shop couldn't diagnose that, or even give an educated guess.! It sounds like the cold start valve is sticking open, ya just need to clean it! Its located on top of the runners above #4 or 5 port. While you're at it, give the AAC valve a clean too, thats the valve on the back of the plenum I can find some pics if ya need it!

Yeah the cold start valve bleeds extra air during the warm up process which increases revs while the engine is cold. To me it sounds like the cold start valve is just sticking open, which is bleeding in 2x (ish) the amount of air the engine needs to idle at when warm! Give me 2 secs, I'll find some pics
