Hey guys, took my 2003 nissan teana to the auto sparky as my battery wasn't charging . he told me the voltage regulator inside the alternator needs replacing.
just wondering, what should the all up price be approx! just so i know what i should be expecting. cost including GST, labour, pre-repair diagnotic cost, parts shipping etc. the final bill.
thank you :)

$500 you would want to replace bearings and regulator at same time alot of nissans of that age are not worth replacing parts as a new oe unit would be a cheaper option. so maybe expect more you would need to quote no of the alt for a quote $500 is very rough. and as above ask ya sparky or mechanic for a quote and for a price on a new unit.

approx $400 is what he quoted for the repair. thought it was a bit on the high end but i guess not. damn those little buggers are expensive. definitely will enquire about a new unit

a new unit will be round $600. $400 is a good price regulators are not a cheap item like they use to be
