jason18, Feb 10, 7:31pm
Oh what I thought it was real!

bigracket, Feb 10, 8:20pm
Do you reckon they are just monitoringmore these days (motoring), or do you really think its one person trying to get everyone of us booted!Maybe if everyone gets arsed off here, well the last person standing will be the nark I guess.

bigracket, Feb 10, 8:38pm
Man imagine if some of the soft complaining lot actually worked in a motor workshop, they would be horrified,OMG did that man just say F@#K. It a section full of mechanics ffs !

carmedic, Feb 10, 9:04pm
No I??

johnf_456, Feb 10, 9:07pm
Has this place turned into general! Its why I never go there lol!

johnf_456, Feb 10, 9:09pm
IP ban will not make one difference, most people these days have dynamic ip's. Aka when you reconnect you get a new internet protocol address. So if someone were to get the banned ip on a innocent user it would not be fair. So trademe would not implment ip bans. Easier to do it per user.

carmedic, Feb 10, 9:14pm
It was a joke!
Face Palm.

johnf_456, Feb 10, 9:16pm
If it is, its a lame one that specific part. IP bans are so easy to by pass.

jason18, Feb 11, 6:14am
i love lamp

mrfxit, Feb 11, 6:36am
Ip tracing is only ONE tool they have & it's only really used to HELP confirm who's using those accounts & how many on that Ip

1fordluva, Feb 11, 6:42am
Lots of bloody complaining going on in here.

johnf_456, Feb 11, 6:43am
But only useful in some circumstances for example a work place with 50 users all having the same IP. Also if its at the same time, hence the ip's been dynamic.

johnf_456, Feb 11, 6:44am
Yeah they can implent them, but unfair if someone else gets your ip that is banned.

smac, Feb 11, 6:48am
Pretty sure I've had a fixed IP ever since I've had adsl.

johnf_456, Feb 11, 6:59am
Should do it, just for a laugh

johnf_456, Feb 11, 7:00am
Depends how long you leave your modem unplugged. If you reboot it you generally get the same IP, leave it off a long time and you should get a new one unless you requested for a static ip.

johnf_456, Feb 11, 9:22am
I know of a few but they are for personal use, you could rent a server and setup a proxy on that.

lookoutas, Feb 11, 4:58pm
Can't see the point in wasting time pinging someone.
Have voted against the odd thread - usually the ones that start with "Rotor V's V8"

Be careful biker - who's gunna pick on everyone if you get a red one!

smac, Feb 11, 8:33pm
Nope. It's usually on full time but if we go away (up to a week) it's off. Same IP waiting for me when I get home.

johnf_456, Feb 11, 8:38pm
Odd

jason18, Feb 12, 4:19am
