Darling son borrowed our car and kindly filled the tank but used diesel instead of petrol.How much would I expect to pay to get it drained and flushed.!

Was it started or did he realise before starting! Why cant you just undo drain bung on tank and fill with correct petrol and run it, a small amount of diesel under most circumstances wont do any serious damage.

Save the decanted diesel and do a swap with someone who filled the tank with petrol!
I saw a wagon at a petrol station only yesterday doing a mobile service for precisely that problem.
Pity they don't make fuel nozzles and fuel tank fillers for petrol and diesel totally different. In fact, I thought they did at one stage or am I just dreaming!
