That top bidder is surely a mate of his! why wouldn't he just place an autobid of 5k and hope he gets it cheaper, TM needs to come down on muppets like this but they won't. As long as they are getting their fee's only certain rules apply

Its not up to TM to try and sort the chaff from the wheat, that particular dilemma belongs to the potential purchaser . it is an internet auction site, and the same applies at any auction site or place of auction or car dealer, or electronics retailer, or grocer, or dairy or whatever . caveat emptor !

In certain situations you have rights and redress, but unfortunately it is often simpler in the long run to do your research as carefully as possible in order to protect yourself at the outset as opposed to relying on laws, acts etc to protect you retrospectively.

Did anyone see Fair Go last night re the Car Dealer in Mt Maunganui . yet another demonstration that there are people out there that are more than happy to rip anyone and everyone, even the handicapped !

If the bidder is a mate then no doubt you'll see the car readvertized when no one else bids and he realisesthe plan backfired!

i did read it and to me it dont looks like the bidder is a mate. but could be . my first thought was it could be then reading his whole question . i was thinkingthe bidder is just stupid telling everyone the car is good.
he explained as to why he bid what he did. you wont see him place nother bid if his post is true orat least not mutch more

Since when was it not up to TM to enforce $1 reserves that don't sell to the highest bidder because the price didn't satisfy the seller. TM makes it far to easy to get your fees back and keep on relisting!
