I work on american hydraulic systems all the time and they certainly do not spell it hydrolic.

I have 16 years experiance in the hydraulic industry and have just noticed a few American reference books and ive found a few pages on the web with that hydrolic spelling, was wondering if if it was a typo or are they trying to spring another b'stardised word on us like "winningest" and "Bicyclist" for example.

While the spelling can be mentally corrected, the intention of the words & sentance can be drasttly altered.
