Hey, Wayne, That doesn't sound good, is Lisa and kids down there as well or they still up here! Try and get one but best you replace both, as once one has snapped it tends to shock the other one and in a very short time the other will go, has it snapped the spline off or stripped it! On some of the truck half shafts we used to ring them with a lathe just in from the flange so if they snapped it would be there so easier to pull the remains than having to pull the diff head out to get the short splined piece out of the head. I'll see if i can hunt anything down or at least tell you who might have one down there, actually try Mclean Truck Wreckers in Hobsonville, west auckland, they used to be into their Bedfords. I'll tell Delwyn of your plight. Good luck.

If you are anywhere near Ross.
Late '80's, I was shown a complete 2speed diff to suit my A5 Beddy.
Buggered if I can remember where it was - it was shown to me by a guy who had a "Probleygo" ( a locally(coast)-built 4x4, using rigid diffs both ends, they were unbloodystoppable).
Speak to Les Lisles at the Mahinapua pub, he may well be able to put you on the right track.
Knowing the Coast, it may well still be there.
