the rev counter problem seems to happen with alot of nissans my cefiro and my partners skyline does the same flicks around all over the place guessing a bad connection somewhere! lol look at pic 4 sitting at around 11,000rpm

way overpriced, they were that price 5 years ago, you could get a turbo or facelift model for that price.
tachos in that era Nissans tend to be troublesome with them reading crazy figures.

no, they just do it anyway. Usually dry solder joints or leaking capacitors at fault.
