what years are we talking!
New Kia Sportage/Hyundai Tucson yes, models from 5+ years ago then no Scratch the Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute off the list
Nissan X-trail has pretty much remained unchanged since its introduction apart from a mild facelift, and it was an already out-dated vehicle when first released. They will suffer from sudden drop of value soon because other vehicles in the class a few years older already out-perform it.
Add Mitsubishi Outlander to the list - NZ's best selling SUV for a number of years running, and for a good reason.

Hmm, thanks guys, the x trail was probably last on my list! Will reconsider it.As for years, the Kia is 2009, Hyundai 2008, Ford 2006, and Nissan Xtrail 2008.really don't like the look of the Outlander, might be worth a test drive though.going tmrw. Doesn't really need to keep its value as I plan on having it for ages.I realise the Ford is a bit thirstier than the others but ultimately I really like that or the Hyundai. Thanks for your input.

I would go the outlander like phil said. Awesome looking cars, Go well and are reliable. I am also a big fan of the Kia

Rav4 outsold the Outlander in 2010 and 2011.
