Interesting what you say fp I wasn't dissing you at all, just saying that what I have experienced regarding cars I have sold and I wouldn't think the "Off Putting" existed either as ones sold with "Buy Now" and in other cases several bidders chasing each other prove just what I said .(In My Case !) Read my post as well .I never said anything about a car not selling or otherwise did I.
I was stating what were the facts in my case here.that's all and I do tend to err on the side of saying that being "put off" as you say might be your thoughts but I can definitely say that doesn't appear to be what I've experienced.

As is naturally means it is being sold in the present condition. Where is means the seller is not interested in arranging delivery across town or onto a transporter. You pay and pick it up from where it sits.
Cheers Stevo

Exactly that's my point too.and "most" bidders and interested watchers understand this.I would have thought!
No matter what, it comes down to"Buyer Beware" even if the listing declares all the bells and whistles and this and that being done and all is good.
It comes down to this really. all folks have different perceptions of what is good and bad .that says it all right there.

No worries mate, didnt think you were dissing me.Hey, I'm definitelty not god. I can't sell cars' for shite. Never have been able too. I always have to drop the price to rock bottom to sell any cars I have ever owned. says a lot about my car selling skills eh!

It's just that when I see a car for sale with as is where is, it makes me wonder why they feel the need to put that. It makes me think they must have something to hide. Hey, maybe it's just me that thinks that.
Again, its just my thoughts.

Actually, with my lack of car selling skills, Im probably the last one that should be commenting about it.

This thread has moved away from the original post. I wouldn't want the guy to win it anyway, it just says "Red Face". So you blacklist so he can't bid or ask more stupid questions. I do that on a number of occasions, it just saves the grief.

I think on a lot of this stuff where the car might have a bit of life left in it, but you know realistically that it might only fetch $5-700 your better to cash the plates in and let the scrap dealers pick it up and deal with it rather than be hassled by bargain hunting clowns who expect a perfect car with a warranty and aftersales service for under $1000.Whats even funnier is the amount of auctions that you look at where a heap of silly questions get asked, are met with reasonable and truthful answers that wouldn't put any genuine buyer off and they can't even bother bidding!Winning bidders are rarely interrogators IMO.

Good idea that is but I've not had an occasion to use it as i haven't had an idiot on the questions section like the munter that phillip w has tangled with on his listing here.
