wonder if the new owner has to dig it out themselves!

pdc1, Feb 26, 7:55am
That should buff out ok. If not take it back to the dealer that you purchased it from. It should be fit for the purpose. A car should last more than a day. It was obviously not up to the task!.

neo_psy, Feb 26, 9:24am
Yeah - and if they wont give you a refund, come on here and complain about the dealer being unreasonable.

attitudedesignz, Feb 26, 9:40am
I've warranted worse.

icemans1, Feb 26, 9:45am
very sad, not the first time i've heard this

*I had not yet organize the insurance for it (only had it for a day)

don't people realise you can organise insurance over the phone BEFORE you drive the car away!

mrfxit, Feb 26, 10:02am
Would be VERY wary of ANY sales coming up like that.
The Cbd is in a lock down state & surrounding areas tightly policed.
note: most of the photos are off the TV

icemans1, Feb 26, 10:04am
good point!

mrfxit, Feb 26, 10:08am
Another point .
How the heck is anybody going to get THAT out of there anytime soon.
Clean up crews won't be to worried about who owns what or what extra damage gets done.
yea sure they will log rego numbers & a photo (maybe) of the current condition but as for removing them with out further damage . TUI

icemans1, Feb 26, 10:13am
lol mr, it would probably be months before they would pull the car out

mrfxit, Feb 26, 10:17am
Exactly !

But more likely in the next 2 weeks
Insurence companys will be fast tracking any claims for THAT sort of damage seeing as it's pretty clear what caused the damage.

I suggest anybody spotting auctions like this one to CW TM promptly & let TM sort it out.

Would be far to easy to rip ppl off like this right now.
NOT saying this could be 1 but feel strongly that it's way to early to be running that type of auction already.

clark20, Feb 26, 10:27am
Trying to get sympathy for their own stupidity, were they ever going to get insurance! Using the sympathy of the nation to profit.

mrfxit, Feb 26, 10:29am
Doesn't really come in to it as far as the damage goes, but yes if it's not insured.
Eqc MAY help out.

howz_that, Feb 26, 12:52pm
Should cut the roof off and sell it as a convertible. Only need to touch up a few scraches and it would be mint.

valentino, Feb 26, 1:04pm
Hmmm, when can it be released, it should be automatically de-rego now and get a refund.

elect70, Feb 26, 1:12pm
Wonder if any new car dealers hit & if may be damaged cars up for auctioneventually .

icemans1, Feb 26, 2:09pm
EQC only pay if you have insurance

mrfxit, Feb 26, 2:19pm
Mmmmm bugger . oh well .

woody1946, Feb 26, 2:41pm
Boy racer will buy it .Seats and suspension already lowered

kaymay88, Feb 26, 3:10pm
way off. no matter what it sells for, do you see the seller actually making a PROFIT!
They just want enough to buy a scooter or something to get round on. pretty reasonable, assuming the auction is legit.

clark20, Feb 26, 4:18pm
Duh, you don't even need to receive "money" to profit from something.

He is using an excuse to get extra attention for failing to protect his investment.

carmedic, Feb 26, 4:38pm
EQC don??

morrisman1, Feb 26, 5:10pm
I think i'd be taking it to the AA for a pre-purchase inspection. Don't want to buy a lemon

saxman99, May 29, 8:55pm
I think it's legit. He has the ownership transfer receipt and the first name matches the TM profile. If it's a scam then somebody did a bit of work on it.
