i've looked around the coil area then looked around engine bay for it, anyone know where to find it! problem is it won't start at the key without running wire frombattery to coil, it's a 94 L/Rover discovery 3.9 v8i
Even if it did have a ballast resister it still wouldn't be the cause of the problem anyway, if it doesn't want to fire at all.

Problem is most likely in the spider unit behind the radio, or the Immobiliser, very common for this to lose the plot. Have you got the Emergency Key Access code!, or any of the original remotes!

imobiliser was an option mine doesnt have it , sure ignition fuse ,auto /brake interlock ok !
