a.woodrow, Jan 9, 3:27am
Counted it up, I've owned at least 65 cars.
Best was a 69 ke15 toyota sprinter, worked 5k with pacemaker extractors and twin carbs. tricky to drive on wet days
Worst was an 80's pontiac lemans, although I had an austin 1100 that was a close second

Whats your best and worst!

mopar63, Jan 9, 3:45am
I've hadover 200 ,don't ask me whyI don't know either, best, lots of them , mostly theFalcons for reliability and cheap to run, most enjoyable , T bucket ,Barracuda, andan old mk1 cortina with a v6 in it, worst, early Magna wagon , for being the thirstiest car I've owned, got rid of it after 3 weeks

ginga4lyfe, Jan 9, 3:53am
iv only had ten since iv been driving, and thats only 7 years of it so far, best, My Toyota MR2 and Toyota Caldina, worst, the austin 1300 and the Honda prelude( nothign wrong wit the prelude mechanically but looked like dogs balls and i just didnt like it otherwise )

cuda.340, Jan 9, 3:53am

tantric5, Jan 9, 4:39am

If you're anything like me, the reason you change cars so often is you get bored with them quickly.

mopar63, Jan 9, 11:51am
actually only had a few of them,an XA ,XE, EA,ED,and now an EL hack, just updated every so often when a goodie came up might get an AU next

mopar63, Jan 9, 11:59am
actually just remembered too I had 3 of the early camry wagons one, they were prob the overall best value very cheap to run and didn't go too bad, wasn't so much getting bored FP just if a good car came upas a cheap update and I could make a buck on the old one then I'd be able to update my cars very cheaply.had my EL for 3 years now so it must be a goodie haha

a.woodrow, Jan 10, 12:24am
I was a bit surprised when I counted them up - doesn't feel like I turn over the cars that often but the numbers don't lie lol

mokaubach, Jan 10, 12:28am
Wait till you get into the 'Barra engined models, superbly reliable workhorses.

the_don_61, Jan 10, 12:44am
Neva owned a jappa in my life "mate your missing out.

Best usa car ive owned .65 galaxie460 big block .factory.badged as a Galaxie Custom.had all badges, 460 and all.
Handled like a piece of crap.drunk petrol faster than driver could drink beer,

Looked cool.phat as.dont think I'd buy anther.
It also put me off all yank tanks.Buy a 65-69 mustang.same car diffrent body same problems.a gloried up falcon

a datsun 1600 handles much better and way more fun to drive.but they dont cost $500 bucks or less anymore.

I'd buy anther mk1 cortina and fit a toyota 2tg Twin cam & 5 speed.anyday.bolt in converson.

neville48, Jan 10, 2:09am
I bought a 1948 Ford V8 in 1984 and thatwas my 48th car I had owned, have owned lots since then too.Worse and quickest sold, a 63 fairlane compact, squeeck squeeck squeeck squeeck squeeck squeeck squeeck, if you know what I mean, best was my 48 sedan, 350 chev auto 9" etc, just sold it last year after 26 years.sniff sob.

rayzor14, Jan 10, 2:43am
I wish I could agree but honestly it was far and away the poorest excuse for a car I could imagine.
This "thing" was bought in 1991 as a 4 year old car with 65k on the clock.
Wipers would work when they felt like it, central locking and alarm were like a pot luck draw, water pump leaked from the day I got it, head gasket blew after 2 months.
Added to this it had woeful handling, p1ss poor build quality and all the economy of a boat.
Compared to the VK 5.0 Calais that preceeded it the thing was a giant step downwards.

That may all sound dramatic but remember this was a 25k car back then.

Maybe we all have a lemon at some time. That POS was sure as hell mine.

I don't really think I have a worst car!How do you compare short term ownership of a 1963 Mini van (first vehicle) with the long term ownership of your classic GT/race car (owned for over 20 years) or your daily 100% reliable modern!

No, thinking about it, I can't ever recall buying a lemon, but there are several cars I was sad to see go, none more so than a fully rally prepared 1293cc Mini Cooper S.

All the older Minis/Coopers needed constant care and when the engine finally expired or you wanted to upgrade it from 998cc to 1275cc, you grabbed another engine, or, when the bodyshell was beyond economic repair, you grabbed another shell.

Owned many American cars:
71 mustang
85 thunderbird
93 camaro
96 camaro
2010 camaro.
The 'best' one of these is obvious, but the one I had the most fun in was the 71 mustang fastback.
