New NSX

"Three years out" like the HSC was a million years ago when they started talking about it.

Good to see they've gone with the V6, which ruined the original car as well.

The styling is already out of date.

I bet it doesn't happen

Hybrid too in't it!

Looks like more of a tech demo than a serious attempt at a supercar.

According to the TopGear article its supposed to be "the real deal" and will be on the streets in a few years without too many cosmetic changes.

They said that about the HSC as well, so I guess we'll just have to wait and, ah, not care if it happens.

How is that not a Ferrari knockoff!

Anywhoo. foxdonut, you say the V6 ruined the original, what would have been your powerplant of choice! I thought the original was sex on wheels.

Looks like a Lambo!
I prefer the look of the old NSX.

Rubbish -design out of date! -the latest McLaren has similar design to Ferrari as well as this - the all use similar computer software -and after all its just a sketch at this stage -

V8.

They could have used an RA block with a detuned head arrangement to achieve a serious car. Everyone went on about it being a "Porsche and Ferrari Killer" and all that crap when it came out, but only because it was competing with the 964 and 348, both which were nearing retirement at the time - Enter the 993 and 355, as well as a decent Corvette and it was an overpriced underachiever.

Honda needed to make the NSX work in America, and it was never going to do that with a 3 litre 6 out of the Honda Legend.

The Type R was a joke, selling less than 250 in its final run. A proper motor would have done it plenty of favours.

1: no, it doesn't. Please, try actually looking. Also try reading the source article.

2: The MP-4-12c is a year old already, same as the 458, this is three years on top, so 4 years on the Scuderia version Ferrari will be ending its production and a replacement will already be out, alongside a new flagship.

The Mclaren hasn't made anywhere near the impact that it was expected to, so its iffy if there'll even be another, although I've read rumours that there's something coming together already.

Porsche will have gone about as far as it needs to with the 991 as well and if the latest Corvettes are anything to go on the yanks will also have a serious car in the mix.

It will be the exact same scenario as the last time - offering the same level of performance as the outgoing competitors and failing miserably to keep up with the new releases.

even though i hate Hondas with a passion mostly crv-s and accords that is one beautiful looking car!

extrayda, Jan 9, 11:08pm
scotty I'm impressed !Is it because it's a 6 ;-)
I'm not much of a Honda fan either, but I think thats a good looking car too.Maybe there would be room for a 350 sbc in there :-)

ginga4lyfe, Jan 9, 11:27pm
its a 3.5 liter v6 awd as far as i can find out about it, no mention of a hybrid drive as far as i have found either!

Electric engine per wheel.

They have the same (I think) sort of thing happening on the new Inspire(! Maybe, I can't remember, it looked like a dishwasher so I stopped reading).
