I never really understood the allure of vtec. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of the type who are polarised to the extreme over honda vs everything else, but after trying a couple of vtec integras out I was quite happy with the performance, but this whole claptrap about vtec turning me inside out through whatever orifice was convenient kinda turned out to be a load of bollocks. All I heard was a horrible noise when it switched over, but nothing special. Very strange, one of those cases of mass hysteria where a large group inexplicably believes the same thing for no good reason!
