WOF regulations?

What is needed in the interior of a car for a WOF!
I have completely gutted the car as a racecar but I want to know what NEEDS to be put back in for a WOF.
I already know about the hood liner and A & B pillar plastics but what else!
Do you need door cards for WOF!
Can you get away with only one seat & remove all other seats & seatbelts!
How much of the dash is needed!

If anyone could give me the proper regulations or point me in the right direction to find them, then that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Why not have a everyday car and a race car, then just trailer the race car to the track when you want to use it. That way you can travel in comfort for the boring drive to work in traffic.

LOL I do have an everyday car as well, this is a full on racecar & will be trailered everywhere, but for track days & nightspeed drag wars etc it needs a WOF.
Thanks anyway

No door cards needed unless there are holes big enough to catch fingers or sharp edges (pretty much means fit door cards)
Pretty sure both front seats must be there along with seat belts

As for seat weight, most modern car seats are fairly light anyway but you could strip the current padding & replace with dacron to save weight

Back seats out PLUS seatbelts out but would need a solid panel of some sort over the steel webbing under the back window.

Dash board /front piller kick panels need to be there if theres any holes under them.
Suspect dashboard knee pad area must be padded if there was padding there from factory.

Hard to say completly

Thanks for that.
Does it need carpet!
and I have a fuel cell & fuel pump in the boot, does there need to be a fire wall between passenger compartment & boot ie where back seat originally was!

dont need carpet, but need all seats an seatbelts, unless certd for 2 seater, need do cards,or get some alloy panels made up ,like i have.an dash, need speedo.i know.whats been done to my race car to get vtnz wof.

suplyuparts, Feb 28, 8:12pm
yep it needs to in a seald box.2 door or 4 door.!

toniellis69, Feb 28, 8:15pm
4 door.
Have already been told by the guy at the garage that it doesn't need backseat as long as seat belts have been removed

toniellis69, Feb 28, 8:16pm
Oh & can spare wheel be secured inside the car instead of the boot as that is where the fuel cell & pump etc is now fitted.

if it had airbags you'll prob have problems if you want to remove them

If you brought this vehicle to me for a WoF first thing on a Monday morning, I might actually consider paying you to take it elsewhere!

toniellis69, Feb 28, 8:49pm
LOL because of having to double check what needed to be there or not! :p
I thought in theory it would be easier to check coz there is a lot less stuff left in the car to check! And the fuel system can be checked from above instead of below. :D

No airbags originally

hey mate do you have a contact number!

you're going to need door cards, and also the fuel cell to be seperated from the airspace with the driver in it to pass any motorsport scrutineering anyway (assuming you're talking track here, I'm not involved with drag stuff so can't provide any useful info there.

alloy sheet is fine to seperate the cabbin from the boot it will need to be fully blocked off though. You dont need a spare tyre for a wof but if there is one in the car it needs to be securly mounted on its a fail
