Now that valves are set up right i can't get the damned cooling system to bleed up properly. Ive filled in up. loosened the bleed screws reved it up air came out the hole in the radiator then it stopped but no coolant came out after the air, thinking the coolant was low i took off the rad cap and it looked full. Im running out of ideas. Is there something I could be missing ! This has been driving me insane for the best part of two days now.

Ok I just discovered when i put anything into the water the temp gauge fluctuates. Just dipped a screw driver into the water and it went mental. then dipped finger in and it went mental again. going from 70 degree down to cold in an instant. weird or what!

Opps didn't see that there was a Pt 1 sorry man.I know what you mean with Italian gear for sure worked on a lot of Fiats,Lancia's& Alfa's in my time , glad I've been away from the motortrade for nigh on 24 years now. just drive em now some one else younger than myself ( and more physically able can fix em ha ha.) I still do the odd few fixes on my own vehicles .time permitting.

C'mon mate, I gave you a link to a forum that has the answers you need, why not go back to it and ask, or do a search there!

Looked thru AF1 before asking on here. Believe it or not I knew about that site before you put it on there. Ive been a member on there since early last year. I couldnt find anything describing my problem in a search I done and decided to ask on here for more immediate replys rathr than waiting till today because everyone on that site either resides in the usa aus or uk. Turns out the temp gauge sensor wire was loose.
