Thats good buying even if you had to stick a new battery in it, much tidier than what I'm driving at present

For that money, you got a real bargain. After a year of driving, it will well and truly pay for itself. I had two of these (Mazda 626 actually, same car), and they are bullet proof, can carry lots of weight compared to other similar sized wagons. However, automatic transmissions are a bit weak, so I would suggest giving that a service, and maybe adding an auxilliary oil cooler if you plan on carrying lots of weight or towing.

yeah I am stoked picked car up today, started pretty easy after over 1 year sitting. goes great!Gave it a wash today and steamed cleaned engine bay, will do an oil change etc tomorrow.

How come he dropped his price by that much - must have been something pretty amiss to go to HALF asking price mate .

I looked at the car on Wednesday but we could not get it started as fuel in the line had evaporated and would not turn over quick enough to pump fuel through (as only had jumper leads) so as it could not be test driven I pretty much walked away. Lady who owns car now lives in auckland so after talking to her on the phone she said the car had to be gone by saturday afternoon as house is red zone, so made an offer of $800 as is and assured her it to be gone and that I was taking a risk that everything else on the car is ok. Anyhow still need to get a WOF so will call you about battery tomorrow as the battery I bought last night on TM the seller never called this morning for me to pickup so left him a reddy! Luckily my mate had a batteryI could borrow.

LOL I did actually buy a battery from supercheap then went and picked up my mate , told him about the TMdeal turning to crap and that I just had to go and buy a new battery, mate said he had one in his garage out of his 4x4 so he talked me into taking the new battery straightback and buying the one off him however the battery he had was too big for battery tray and terminals round the wrong way but still got it to just fit. I would edit the feedback but want to hear from seller first
