Given that A4's can be equally large handgrenades and expensive to keep on the road when they get to that age either he might have a shot. You have to admire his attempts to make a Cavalier sound good, being the black sports version 'n all.

Any yet people still bid on these things. It never fails to amaze me how few people research cars before buying.

What is wrong with them! My ex gf had a Cavalier, the 2.4l6cylinder engine. It used to drive okay, but the auto would jolt when it changed. The only problem she had with it was the horn fuse blowing all the time.

The 2.4L is a4 cylinder;) Earlier models did come with a V6 option, but dont think any of them made it to our shores (thank God). What it right with them is the real question here!

I can tell you I'd rather have my Celica than that POS any day of the year!

Google 'Chev Cavalier' and see what the Americans think of them in their home market.

Umm, Carsurvey.org, JD Power consumer satisfaction surveys, GM/Chevrolet warranty claim records, Toyota parts and service departments, the fact that many of them sat in Toyota Japans storage compounds for months/years because their dealers didn't want them/couldn't sell them, need I go on.Go and drive one thats done 200,000km and compare the general "feel" of it up against one of their own comparable products like a Camry or Caldina and report back.

Not a 20 valve one (160 or 165PS vs 150 for the Cavalier), although they are a heap torquier.A couple of hundred kg heavier too though and the auto box sucked.

Try changing a water pump in one. And don't even think of ringing Toyota to help you. Bunce motors on the north shore might at a price.
