I have ford mondeo, and the rear view miiror has come unstuck from the widscreen, what can I use to glue or attach it back to the black thing on the window,
have tried super glus, some kind of black putty stuff, but it still falls off

All of them will fall off because you want it to stick.

Try double sided tape for automative use.not the paper use stuff!

You can buy a glue kit for this purpose from Repco, Supercheap etc.

I know it's not the same situation, but I used liquid nails to hold louvers to the rear windscreen on my car. It's working a lot better than all the kinds of double sided tape I tried before.

I would try some two part epoxy on it.

One of the strongest epoxy glues I have used is epiglass epiglue . Not cheap but strong glue.

I tried gluing my mirror with a two part glue that was meant to be the "best for the job". I prepared the surfaces correctly and it lasted less than a week before it fell off again. So. I took the car to Smith and Smith Glass. For $25 they glued it back on with their "special" glue. Seems OK now. And if it falls off again I'll take it back to S & S and they will redo it for free.

s&s sounds like a good idea

"Black Putty stuff" is Bostick. Did you knead the grey compound into the black first! Bostick sticks Water to teflon to glass, so if that didn't work then you might have done it wrong.

2 stage epoxy should do the job.
