Have a 2005 Corolla - having intermittent problems with remote buttons on door keys not working.Have three keys - 2 new - have same problem with each key so it would appear problem within car .Press lock/unlock button - works sometimes but not always.Any suggestions from mechanically minding readers, before I contact Toyota centre.

Make sure that all doors including the boot are closed properly or it won't lock.

External interferance can cause intermitante remote locking faults is it doing it in the same area or just at random!

Thanks for replies - not a door problem (all closed properly). Problem can happen anywhere - home/town/farm -anywhere.Will see what Toyota have to say.Thanks.

Transponder key remotes may require new batteries!

As above, change the batteries in the remotes.
