Ta, I know hirequip list them but last time I saw one at local branch was about 5 yrs ago and that was after it had been rolled.Tried to buy it off them but they wouldn't sell it but did sell me one which they shipped down from Daukland.Go figure that!Of course silly me I sold it last year thinking I didn't need it any more but as usual now do need 1 again.

I have one possibly for sale depending on how finances go. Good strong, just put new stubs, hubs on and given it a full paint. Truck hub for turntable swivel and has a winch. Invercargill is the only catch

Do you need to be registered to have these! Seems kinda dodgy if it got into the wrong hands. Just like 2 stroke portable angle grinders

morrisman1, Jan 20, 5:25pm
you can get 18v angle grinders these days.

Yes they need to be registered and as far as the laws sees them they are just a trailer.

I was meaning you should have to prove that your job requires you to have one (i.e towie) so car theives can't get them. But then again, they will still get their hands on them anyway.

Most thieves drive the stolen car not tow it

danni_2254, Jan 20, 5:35pm
Immobiliser, steering lock, loud exhaust parked close to house ect ect . I reckon most stolen-to-order cars are towed

detroitauto, Jan 20, 5:41pm
not all cars have an immobilizer steering lock and loud exhaust

danni_2254, Jan 20, 5:43pm
Dude, whats your problem! Did you make an account just to argue against everything i say!

detroitauto, Jan 20, 5:48pm
No. i just disagree with you

Nowhere in Hamilton hire them anymore. One place gave the excuse that the vehicle being towed with the dolly must have wof and rego!so their company{think it was hirepool} dont have them anymore. And the other ones have all stopped using them as well.Theres a place on TM that makes and sells new ones.

And I think a tow dolly would be the last choice a car thief would use,as anyone who has used one knows they are noisy when empty and attract stares when loaded!LOL.

Bump Bump.
Still looking, I know there are a couple listedat the moment, but they a bit flash for what I need.
