I got a 2000 vt commodore 3.8. Went to start it and there was what sounded like the fan going a million miles an hour and the traction control light stayed on. Switched off the engine then restarted again with no problems. Anyone got any idea's!

its a holden just be glad it started. as for what it was no idea, bit of condensation in/on computer or wiring!

Sounds like the bendix didn't kick out, and stayed engaged with the ring-gear.
Be an idea to have the starter-motor checked.
