Very wise ACC.
I will now forgo buying something dangerous like a scary V-Star 650, and instead purchase a nice safe Kawasaki H1 500cc two stroke triple.

i totally agree, instead of buying a scary high powered 883 sportster, i will purchase i much safer bike, suzuki rgv250, i mean you can ride these on a learners, very slow underpowered bikes

Indeed, the RGV will be around 3.5 times safer going by the capacity justification.

You need to give a bit information really. 600cc covers many many bikes really.
Are you sticking to 600cc because of rego cost! if so its only $100 extra for bigger bike a year, not alot really and opens up things alot.
And what sort of $$$ you spending.

Or you could think about a 748 Duc.Nice looking bike and awsome sound.
What. a Duc. Did I say that.

One of the lads recently bought an early 2010 CBR hornet, does over 100kms/day, most of that being through very interesting twisty roads. Even now the novelty has not worn off, bike has a HUGE grin factor. Looks pretty good for a modern bike, motor is just about the right size and seems to corner pretty bloody smartly. Not a bad wee bike if you aren't wanting to go too mad
