CV joints.. Anyone know how much roughly two of these cost to get replaced

If you are in Auckland(New Lynn)call Aiden at Drive Inn.They have replaced several cv joints, cv boots & bushes on my older cars. Extremely capable, honest & well-priced.

depends on car
i charge 140$ for ones whereyou can buy the cv joints for 65$ like toyota caldina petrol model or some honda nissan supercheap auto stock them cheap. If its a non common car it can get expensive with the joint it self costing 250$ and a nightmareto change are citroen cv joints with there special designed clips on some 1990 models onwards

if its outer cv then about $70-$150.if its the inner cv then about $300-$400

Edit: thats just for 1 replacement cv kit

my 97 Nissan Presea (SR18) is leaking at the RH CV boot. If I'm looking for the parts (partner says he can fix it), what should I be asking for! Good place to buy from! Would somewhere like Repco or Supercheap have them!

get a cv boot kit either will have it or order it in for you. $10-$20

Thanks for that. I was of the impression I should replace the whole thing, because if it's leaking, there's probably dirt getting in. Does that sound right! Which case I think I'm up for a new outer joint!

never go to ripco they will charge minimum 2 times what the part is worth and what supersheep will sell it for. You go to auto- one supersheep partsmaster etc for pricesand if it is 70$ for the cv then that is the lowest possibile price you will ever find. a cv boot is 12 bux from supersheep.
