how was this. i cruising in the heavy morning traffic on the southern just after 7 am, coming up to takanini in the left hand lane & i see a gap appear just in front of me in the right hand lane, the Holden rodeo truck that was creating the gap has a driver who's txtn. the gap was big enough for 4 cars so i indicate & move over, txtn driver jumps on the go pedal, flashes his lights & hits the horn & drives right up my ass. i ignore his guestures & just keep cruising. i see him on the phone thru the rear view & the tosser is ringing MY boss complaining about my driving!.(company truck has phone # plastered across the back). he didn't leave a name or number so i told my boss i'm not interested in hearing about it. but what a blimin tosser, txtn AND then ringing to complain about MY driving!, changing lanes isn't against the law as far as i knew.

yeah i know it happens regularly. i get a complaint once every two weeks about my driving & it's normally tossers complaining i've cut them off. the fact that i was indicating for 5 seconds before i change lanes never comes into the complaint. the best bit is no one takes a truck on in these situations so there's no accident, just a pist off motorist who lost that 3-4 car gap they thought they owned in front of them.

Doesn't matter how long you indicate before you change lanes you have to giveway to traffic and alter your speed to switching lanes. Are you the sort that moves 3 lanes over when you see your exit and tail gates everyone. Just ask, if your not the sort then all good. Your boss must be very tolerable to take so much flack for doing stuff in a company vehicle, lucky.

People are so soft yet angry in NZ, I swear every time someone does something like cutting in front, they always seem like they want to kill that person. Get over it
