The quickest path to block identification is the casting number and date code found above the starter on the right-hand side of the block on 221/260/ 289/302, Boss 302 and 351W/351C engines.

Right-hand side is that looking from the front! Looking from the front drivers side or the passanger side.

Have a look at the machined surface the sump bolts to. ie flip your motor upside down on the engine stand. The stamped engine number will then be staring you in the face,

I'll have a look at my block tomorrow and see if I can find any more castings anywhere with the engine code id etc
or in fact, even a 260. because the C4OE-6316A front pulley is only off the 1964 260 small block. easiest way to check would make sure the bore is 4" not 3.8" that a 260 has

has it got a 1 piece rear main seal! have a look at the rods for the casting on them

It had 289 on the head. And I see page 7 of the latest Petrolhead has 3 bolt front pulleys. (down the bottom) Assuming you were the punter looking for one.
