Damn it. noticed too late that there was a massive runny cat turd in my driveway right as I ran over it but it was wet so figured it would wash off up rest of driveway. Turns out, it sprayed all up inside wheel arches and I only noticed this once I parked in our internal access garage and noticed the stench coming from the closed door! Went for a drive around the block through puddles, still there, bleached and hosed down garage floor and hosed out wheel arches. still can smell it. FML!

not sure why you're sharing this. is it so we can all swap our unfortunate turd stories!

Just sharing the joy - its a motoring/pets and animals story. maybe I should take it to the pet thread too.

You're doomed.
One of the managers where I used to work took his old cat to the vet to be put to sleep, in his brand-new Mazda 6 company car.
On the way there, the cat left him something to remember her by, in the form of the mother of all runny cat s**ts. All over the back seat.
That car never smelt right again.

Oh hell. thanks for that - now I am feeling it could have been worse. Way worse. Mind you, bleach and cat poo is a combination of 'scents' that demands attention. but at least it is external.

Have you noticed when dogs poo, they don't seem to care at all that you are watching. More rarely when I catch a cat arching for a poo they look up at you all startled and are seemingly somewhat embarrassed, which I find amusing.

Ha ha. the cats around my area (and it appears there are many) seem to poo covertly. I never see them doing it, but the evidence is everywhere. What is worse is that we have little dogs that seem to have a taste for sun-dried cat poo. My dog seems to like to go right on the edge of the curb as close to the road as possible. almost like he wants the world to see.
I think this thread has now moved away from being on the topic of motoring or even pets. Look what I started.

Coming home along Highway 27 I noticed something on the road, looked like a truck had lost some dirt. noooo it was 10m of offal about 5cm deep, and nowhere to go. Washed car off but in the sun you could smell it, attracted cats and all. Took months to go away.

Not that long ago I bought shrimp. It was for me to eat and all. I took all the groceries upstairs and got on with life. A week later I was in a hurry and stopped fast at the top of my street ready to swing my beast out onto the road. Then it hit me.
The mother of all stenches, the worst smell of all smells that had ever smelled. For a second I wondered if I had died and gone to hell cause a truck hit me but no, it was seafood, week old locked in a hot car festering seafood. It was in the sealed pottle being a ninja in a gap under my seat but when I braked it slid forward and BOOM! shrimp juice and rotten meat.
I gagged, I considered calling 111 to tell them I was dieing and needed extracting from a vehicle but I got out, regained composure and swallowed anything I may of threw up in my mouth then opened the passenger door to pull this thing out. I wrapped it up and put it in the back cause there were no bins then hurried off. Car still stank cause of the juices that had leeched all through my car. Halfway through manukau I made an attempt to rid some of it. To those that a couple months ago found the area around the bin outside wendy's smelled like a month dead beached whale I apologize.
It took me about a week to get rid of the smell, pulled the seat out, scrubbed everything, carpet shampoo, deodorizers, pure alcohol poured through the whole car. Eventually it did pass, having vinyl seats helped. Worst smell ever. I'd rather not do that again.

Ha ha classic pollymay. Man even sea food residue in garbage bags that have sat for a hot day or two stink like buggery. I shudder to think what that smelt like! I remembered after starting this thread; years ago I left the window on my mark3 cortina down and a tom cat must have got in and sprayed it. That took some time to dissipate.
