yep but when a twit cuts across from the south lane doing a right turn across the double north lanes in directly front of someone in the center lane before they got to me on the outer lane heading north . . . . . . . WELL . . .tooting the horn was pretty much a waste of time & not even thought of before/ during or even after that fact.
(that & the fat-bl*ck-bit(h screaming through my drivers window that it was MY fault, who very promptly vanished when she heard my wife on the cell ph telling the cops, their reg number)

I suppose you learn a lot from your parents. My dad never ever used the horn. The danger around here is that if you blast someone, even with the pathetic standard issue item, even if they deserve it, they are likely to turn nasty - and pugilism was something else my dad wasn't into.

The thing is, the ignorant morons you need to honk at, will be so away in the clouds that they will not know why you are honking at them, and if they even do hear it will think its for someone else.
I gave up honking at people unless its dumb crap like not going when a light goes green etc.

Assuming you mean 'loud', the commodore horns I've heard are pathetic. My Astra has one of the loudest standard ones I've heard.weird.
Anyway, for the purposes of a warning device air horns are toooo slow, no matter how they sound.

I just fitted twins to a mates '02 SS, made a hell of a difference! I've got a 14 inch trumpet (wait for it) and at WOF time I just sit and watch while it's tested.
