can any one tell me how much petrol a powertec petrol generator from repco will use an hour it has a 196cc engine and a peak power out put of 2300w

Depends what it's powering.If it's loaded up it might use more than a litre or two an hour but if it's running a light or intermittant load it'll use a lot less. Generators are often advertised with specs. including tank capacity and run time in hours usually on around half load to give you some idea. of their consumption.

well you should never load a generator more then 70% of its rated capacity. as they do overrate these and at full load it is strugeling to turn over also 2300 watt is 2.3 kilo-watt 2.3 kilowatts = 3.08435081 horsepower you will have to produce to generate that power plus friction loss etc .like my 3.5kw generator has a ryobi 7,5hp engine and that you could hear struggle at 80% load my big mother 35 kw deutz dieselhowever is unfased by what ever i managed to plug on, itn it chuggs away at 1500 rpm
