tourist came in to buy some wheel studs for his Hiace camper yesterday because his wheel came off while he was driving around and broke the studs so he couldn't put it back on.He'd had a wheel balnce done the previous afternoon.I imagine there is going to be an interesting discussion in that workshop tomorrow morning.

yea some morons with a rattle gun by the sound of things. your suposed to use a torque wrench . If i am in a hurry i set them by hand a few turns and use the rattle gun to get em just to where they stop no forther torquing with rattler and then car on ground and do it with X brace by hand like when the torque wrench is otherwise occupied and or if the wheel needs to come off again when more work is to be done. Another one is that no one ever puts a single bit of grease on studs or bolts here either.

Those w**kers at Firestone did that to me once.

Totally incompetent maroons.
Never ever ever will I deal with that STUPID company.

Shouldnt they be tightening the wheel nuts up with the spanner you use on the road, usually that stupid wee thing with a hole in the middle you use to wind up the jack as well!

The end of his jack handle is turned with the wheel brace that has a square of rectangular hole through it.
