Anyone know the average cost of a work licence for 3 months!And what the process is! Due to demerits.

over a grand and drive between certain hours i think depending on job need a lawyer 2 do it but that may have all changed

Yeah it changed allrite,you got to hand liscence in to cops ,1k fine if you dont ,and you have to reapply for it when suspension runs out ,new law passed last month.!

hi man i paid $1690 all up you have to go thru a lawer and wait 1 month after your sentnce the the lawer has to apply to the judge for it and then you have togo back to court and the judge will tell you if you can have one. when i got mine i had to fill out a log book were and wen ever i went anywere and couldent drive between 6pm and 6am 6months loss it was

I had excellent service from the guys at 0800 4 LICENCE.They can sort it all out and tell you how it all works. Mine was a couple of years ago and was a little under a grand.

ive just been thru this so i think i know what im talking about yes you have to have a lawer and they do the rest easy yes u r rite licences always have had to be handed in ever since i can remember

No, you don't NEED a lawyer. Although I'm sure it pays to have one unless you know the process.
If you've just been through it then yes, you should know what you're talking about.

RUBBISH you don't have to wait a month if only for points only for more serious offences.I Would get a lawyer but you can do the paper work yourself if you want for under $600.You will have to run a log book,in my case the judge wasn't worried what truck idrove as long as it had Fonterra on the side.i could also drive anytime as long as was for work.All this was early this year

Sorry pal yer wrong ,just handed mine in today ,local cop took it ,looking at paper work now,disqualifed for one month,got to reapply when suspension up.

Not me as i would had to wait at least 3 months & i would have lost my job [ the bay corp guy told me that as he collectedlicences for most of the top of the south island]believe me i tried to hand in my licence.PS can't you have a discussion with out getting personal

yep u cant apply 4 a work licance untilll after a month and no it wasnt a serious affence i was 405 .5 over the limitbeen thru it man so the judge and the lawer are wrong are they.(witch fontera me old man works at terapa,, sorry just read ya post proberly on points u may not but dic u do

I'm not going to waste my time arguing with you, but this is just an example of how you are wrong (there's been many points). All demerit point suspensions are sent to Police in the first instance. If they do not come across you in a certain period, then it is sent to a contractor to find you.
Your info is outdated, and at best only partially correct. Add to that you're abusing people who have bothered to take the time to try and correct your errors, for the benefit of the OP (who hopefully now has figured out not to listen to you). What a charmer.

it cost a mate 400 to get a work licence but had to wait a month after court before he could applyed for itand only could drive to in from work and wasnt allowed any passengers

i just walked in ofter being at court straight to the police station and gave them my licance and signed a form that was it done and diddnt payrd around $30 to get it back once the time was up
