say TELWIN are about as good as Chinese stuff any comments welcome

Absolute junk!Better to shop around the welding shops (Google Brian Hall welding) and get a used and beaten up Hobart, Millar or similar. The old ones are heavier but are fine unless you are doing site work at the top of dairy factories or similar

esab are world leading welders also you will have seen esab at monster garage etc. however esab have had no agent in nz for some time so parts are almost non optainable unless you know someone in europe that will ship them from there is what i found. i got the caddy from esab and had to repair one of the boards due to somone had droped it and it arked on to the computer.

Had a telwin mig, it stopped every 10n minutes to cool down before it would restarteven afterI fitted a fan on outside of the casehuge POStook a hammer to it eventually,wouldnt want some other poor bugger to suffer .it

yea thats what I thought probably look at cig weld or other well known makes only for home use anyway

I got a great Cigweld welder 140, but want one with more grunt so can weld 10mm plate. Anyone interested in Cigweld 140 Mig

Has it got tig leads and when you say 10mm plate weld I guess you are talking "stick weld"

Ticketed welder you may be, but you obvoiusly cant read. Read it again and you will see he want to SELL his 140amp so he can buy a unit capable of welding 10mm
