Not much mate, he sent his wife up to pay me instead of coming up himself, just as well i think because i would've told him to have s*x & walk. The wife wears the pants and she absolutely loves the job i did so that's all i needed.
Ironic ya should ask tho', because after i picked the boy up from work today "that" truck went pastand it looked a million bucks & i thought to myself 'that's more than $1000 paint job in anyones money'.

Bit of back story.
Bought a '88 Honda CD250, no reg / wof, NEVER been road registered so had NO history but was sold NZ new (according to Honda motorcycles NZ).
Wanted to get it on the road but alot of people said don't bother, too much hassle cos of not having any history.
Went to see the VIN guy at our VTNZ a few weeks ago and he said "No worries mate, we can get that done for ya" So i thought ok, i'll get the bike up to WOF standard then take it in for it's certification. All it needed was 2 tyres, a mirror and a park light bulb. Took it in this morn and now it's legal. This is where it gets interesting lol. Because it's an '88 that's now the year of 1st reg' in NZ, so it's a one owner (me) low milage '88 Honda. The guy that did the process is a super cool guy and is VERY fair, he can't understand why some people make the process so hard.
This is the breakdown of what's needed & costs, just so if any one else needs to re-vin a bike.
Proof of ownership (i only had a scrap of paper from previous owner.) Police interest form.
Certification (Icluding WOF & VIN number) $128 Registration (6 months licence and new # plate) $276.86
So the whole process cost $401.86.
It was really painless and i'm very happy now, but i think that has a lot to do with the guy i was dealing with.
PS: As the bike was made before '91 it didn't need a brake disc thickness test.
