What can it be?

Hi guys,

today i noticed a loss of power dramatically, very rough idle (almost about die) and the milky residue of doom under the oil cap. I believe its a blown head gasket, but I've never experienced the other symptoms. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong or reinforce my theory! Cheers!

Oh the car is a meaty 1988 Honda City!

I fear your theory is correct.

Your theory sounds right, any bubbling in the radiator! The white froth in the oil indicates water in the oil, usual source head gasket.

a lot of those early honda'shave crapunder the oil cap with a lot of short tripsin winter

An easy test is to start the car with the radiator cap off and ensure radiator is full to the brim, allow to warm up and you may see bubbles rising. To determine positively get a "cylinder leakage test" done by a garage. This is where they will remove all the spark plugs and get each cylinder on the compression stroke and connect to compressed air. Rising bubbles or water pouring out the radiator is a +ve result. (Head must come off)

Oh, actually yes that did happen too! Oh na the old girl is too old to fix up so might split it for parts or wreck it :(
