Hey I've got a 351 Windsor and Im planning on rebuilding it somewhat more powerful than it is now. I want to stroke it out to about 400 cubes and put some aftermarket heads on it. Just wondering what sort of intake you think I should go with! Twin 4 Barrel! One big 4 Barrel! Aftermarket EFI or a Powerjection unit or similar! Its for the street so more into low to midrange power and torque and throttle response than top end.

I had a 393w with afr 205 cnc Surecamsflat tapit solid camsharf, probe stroker kit 3.850 crank 6.250 rods and flat top pistons, victor jnr manifold and a 750d/p holley made 525hp @ 5900and 500lbs tq @5200 rpm so no need to rev it at all. Was built by Graeme Morris and Dave Rosewarne from chs in chch so give them a ring cheers.

I'd be inclined to go the injection route. Might take a bit to set up but would be well worth the effort.

Yeah I love the idea but wouldnt it be really expensive! I've been reading up about Powerjection units and another similar one by a company called F.A.S.T.
They sound brilliant but as they're fairly new Im still a little unsure.

If they are as good as they look they will be the "bees knees". Try google and see if anybody in the states can give some feedback on them. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_new/mc/efi/pf_ford.shtml These may also be worth a look especially while the $$$$$$ is so good against the US$ at he moment. The plus with the injection is easy start and the ability to dial out any flat or lean spots.

You can get a 351 EFI inlet manifold and all the injection gear from the 5.0s will then fit. Trick Flow do an EFI kit to suit the 351's. You will need to convert to a MAF setup (eBay US is your friend) and you could even run a serpentine setup using the 5.0 front dress (EB-EL V8's). You could strip a loom from an EB-EL V8, run the EB-EL V8 ECU and then run a J3 chip to tune it, J3's are relatively simple and cheap.Have a look at this: http://www.fordmods.com/the-garage-f53/the-terrorist-now-with-5-8-efi-goodness-t65071.html
