Fairmont 4ltr it is turning over has plenty of spark but wont start i disconnected the battery and was going to plug up another computer but the one i have has the same plug i think it is out of a early model eb fairmont would it matter,I ended up pluging the old one back in and it started,I turned it off and it wont start again.Any ideas out there!

Have you looked inside the ecu for signs of damage. dry solder joints, cracked circuit board, burnt resistors, leaking capacitors!
Get the magnifying glass out and look.

Check the fuse for the interior. It also kills the body imobiliser. Easily popped and wont let you start it
