Now that I've got my Accord, I'm now looking for a ridiculously cheap (or free, hey, dreams are free) paddock basher, manual transmission, don't care about condition as long as it runs decently. Something I don't need to drive to tech with, so if something screws up I can try and fix it myself and not worry about not having a ride.
In summary - Manual, works, any condition. What would you guys recommend if you were wanting to thrash the bejeezus out of a paddock car!

Get something manual with a carburettor if you want to mess around under the hood. Most of the principals are the same in modern engines.
As for the car - meh, what options do you have. Just look for the cheapest thing that starts and moves forward and go from there.

You could try asking at a wreckers for a start. I dropped off a still going great Honda Accord because of a pillar rust warrant failure.
Still had a stereo and everything - he offered 150 and I got a pretty good deal, it could probably be brought back for 250 and still be a bargain.

Oh mean. Yeah not fussed about wof, it won't be on the road for long haha.
You don't currently have any disposable cars by any chance! :P

Haha flat_white, I've had a few close calls with the old quad bikes, not too keen on them if I'm to be honest. Very keen to learn about engines and stuff though :)
Thanks for the post =]

The little Suzuki jeeps are great, Heaps of fun, Uses little petrol and really simple to work on, Just a bit dodgy on the corners if pushed but they can easily be lifted back onto their wheels by a couple of mates.

trade and exchange + lowball offers or go door knocking for cars with a bit of grass growing up the doors. It works.
