I don't really 'get' buying a car then paying someone else to restore it. Some things you can't do yourself, sure. Personally I'd never trust myself to weld anything, I wouldn't even bother trying, but if I had something cool (that wasn't an absolute collectable like an Alfa Romeo 33/2 or Bugatti Type 13 etc) and I wanted to spritz it up I'd be looking for something I could do as much of it myself in my own garage. The finish wouldn't be concourse, but at least it'd be mine.
That car I have no idea about. Seems like a LOT of money though.

Why would you paint an engine baby blue, then stick a bright orange air filter on it!At least ricers can [generally] match colours lol

I doubt the owner knows much more than how to fill it with petrol.
They'll never get $90,000 for it. Even if it cost more to get it into that condition.
It is a car that no-one wants.

A great example of (other peoples) workmanship no doubt, but $140K build cost and $90K asking price! Some people have got too much money, there might be a few bites at $25K if you are lucky in the current market.I wonder if NZCC magazine have approached the owner to do a story on it, they after all seem to worship chequebook restorations on weird and/or expensive cars, the blokes who almost completely DIY restoed old Morries and Holdens disappeared from their pages many years ago.

Sure but sad about the wasted $ put into this car. Its just a nothing car basically - they could've had a muscle or rare car for the $140k

so true. I put its value under $20000 as is

For that amount of money one would expect things to look a little tidier that engine bay is a mess.
