Can't believe it

Someone just asked me how much for the live plates on the parts car!

sue344, Jun 16, 4:46pm
quite common actually

taintedkitten, Jun 16, 4:48pm
More than a bit dodgy IMO

grangies, Jun 16, 5:04pm
I take it, you said no! LOL.

taintedkitten, Jun 16, 5:04pm
Of course, and black listed. I'd hate to think what other dodgy things he'd do lol

v8_mopar, Jun 16, 5:07pm
dodgy lol. No one has ever done that with plates before

chevcamaro, Jun 16, 5:47pm
bwa ha ha, another tui's ad. yeah right

ontwowheels, Jun 17, 10:11am

pollymay, Jun 17, 10:30am
To be honest I don't wholey mind such things. If they can do a good enough job to perfectly hide vin fraud there a good chance the car has an owner that knows how to fix rust etc. There are some real disgusting cars on the road with full rego/warrant so eh.

However I would check the person out, not just some random stranger who has a shyteheap ceferio or something. There is always the percentage that will just throw the plates on and call it good.

You would be very surprised at how many HQ-WB,commodores,torana holdens out there with different plates and tags from those that were on them from factory. Its only 2 screws for each number plate and 2 rivets for the vin/id tag.So many deregistered old cars were taken off the road when the 2 year no rego rule was made into one year making a car deregistered and mainly only worth parts.Cheaper to buy some plates and tags off a parts car than to go through re-vinning.

franko171, Jun 17, 2:58pm
someone on another selling site wants to swap tags and plates

lookoutas, Jun 17, 3:07pm
As if someone would do that!

And yet the self righteous Op has no problem dealing outside the auction process and putting up contact details.Mwahahahaaaaa
