Owned an HDI powered Citroen or Peugeot!.My fiance and I are looking for something economical. We will give it regular services as with previous Peugeots we've owned, but we've never had the diesels.thoughts.!

Whats your budget! I personally much prefer Fiat and VW's diesels but if you need something super cheap then the HDI may be the only option.

not personally but my best friends dad has one and thinks it is great, powerful and economical, said he can get to auckland from wellington on 1/2 tank, (older driver mind you) in my opinion diesel is the way to go these hybrid cars are a false economy diesels servicing can be higher, abd consider the expenses of RUC

One of our customers has got a Peugoet 406, nice to drive, powerful, quiet and clean running (ie. no black smoke). I don't know how reliable they are though.
