Yup saw zero, even as I passed by a major weigh station and a town infamous for the number of cops that are around it!

I think the bigger topic is the fact that no one got killed on the roads. Guess Kiwis will slow down if the old wallet is threatened lmao

Lots less people around this year, due to our wonderful economy.Seen less cops than the usual mid week revenue gather here.

Well, there certainly are 5 X more cops out here in Hawkes Bay.
Stands to reason, actually. They missed out on all those tickets at the weekend, so now they are trying to make up for it.

so they now will make the speed limit for fines just 4kph or over since it obviously is working. and discount the fact that no one died would more likely be that the morons with no money and no driving skills are not actuarly on the road because of to high petrol prices.

Didn't even see a single cop car on the weekend, Sat or Sun. I'm just expecting to see some angry cops out there harassing people for the commission they lost on the weekend.

Drove from AK to Matamata and back on Sunday and only saw four cops, and one of those was a doggy ute, It's the hidden ones that I did not see, that are the concern.

Tauranga to Turangi and back. 3 speed vans and about 6 cops, pretty good. Great to have a 0 deaths weekend.

Didn't see one!

It's great to have had no deaths over the weekend but it's a huge leap of faith to attribute it to increased policing!

Blenheim to Kaikoura saw 1 on the trip down, and 4 on the trip home. So more then normal.

From the tunnel to Greville Road offramp I passed (and was snapped by) a dodgy looking van and at least 3 highway patrols one of which had latched onto the M3 that was next to me when I was getting my photo taken who had made much more progress down the road at a much faster rate.I checked my speedo when I got flashed and it was just over 90kph so will be interesting to see what speed they snapped me at.

And, they are still out (in force) today. ALL looking really rabid, too.
