every time i turn off the car and jump back in the disc jumps out and allthe setting etc have gone back to defult is this due to not having constant power

there will be a constant, also, check that your ground that you probably wired to the head unit doesnt light up ( or go live ) when you switch the lights on, this can bugger the head unit, as well as stop it from working when the head lights are on, and can also kill other fuses and stuff, so to find the constant power line, hook one end of the test light to the key's metal ( easy to find common ground ) and the other side to the wires that you are testing, test which wire is live with out the ign on, then thats the constant( or memory wire ), then put the ign to ACC and then test to see the other wires for another live wire, thats your ACC wire, then just wire the ground from the head unit to a common ground or metal body brace or something thats close by, that way you cant mix up the common ground problem

Its a98 spacio c rolla lol wel aparantly there was ment to be 2 black wires but it only had 1 so might have to buy some cable in town and hook it up to the batteryand plug it in to the headunit might fix it!

you probably missed one, peal back the tape further back on the lead, its probably just further back, or you just missed it

There will be one, its in all looms, the problem is that the ISO spec was a cockup and some headdecks use the constant and switched power the other way around. Check all the fuses if you cant locate it, you may have inadvertently blown the fuse if you were messing around with wires without disconnecting the battery.
Most of the adaptor looms for old cars have bullet connectors on them so you can swap them over, but if you have a newish car with ISO plugs on the factory loom and a headdeck that takes ISO straight in the back, then you have to either chop and swap the loom over or dick around trying to eject pins from the harness to swap, which is REALLY HARD on the ISO plugs to do.
There are looms to fix the power connections available online, but unfortunately the only ones that supercheap etc sell are for old cars to iso or else iso to propitiatory plugs because sony etc rip us off in NZ and just supply a useless loom with a bunch of wires on the end.

Its a98 spacio c rolla -OH- only one black wire-OH- tip that should be factory left rear speaker + try lookin 4 a blue/yellow one.oh and then maybe checking da fusssss box. [at least it's gotz a slf starter.]

yellow to greyred to blueand black to brownheadunit wire to car wire.
check the fuses also, by the kick panel and under the bonnet there should be a constant power feed at the radio, all toyotas do

get in touch with digital logistics or eds autos they can provide correct wiring looms for most stereos and toyotas
