NZ dollar at .825c - importing that classic from

tgray, Jun 1, 1:04pm
the USA has never been cheaper.
Best exchange rate in over a quarter of a century!

curlcrown, Jun 1, 1:27pm
Good for some, not so for others!

guider1, Jun 1, 2:33pm
Yep. importers are happy, exporters are crying.

For those looking to part with a few green backs, here's a good start.Better put aside a couple of hours tho.

sweet, got my money just in time then lol

lookoutas, Jun 1, 3:46pm
Three years ago was the best time - freight has killed the present gain.

neville48, Jun 1, 4:44pm
Not so much the freight but all the bullshite charges that have been invented by MAF and port charges and freight add-ons plus GST at 15% from 12.5%, thats where all the increase expenses are.still there are still some real neat cars to bring in from USA so just do it.

michael.benn, Jun 1, 5:59pm
If they had a '67 Impala 4Dr I'd be keen. but they don't. Only 66's and 2 doors. =(

fordkiwi27, Jun 1, 6:01pm
i can source you one if you want.

r.g.nixon, Jun 1, 6:03pm
Don't be in a hurry, you might see the kiwi at US.90c within a year.

stevo2, Jun 1, 6:08pm

Unlikely. The reserve bank would intervene if it ever got that high.
We have to remember we are an export lead nation and we rely heavily on tourism. A high dollar doesn't help either.

mapman, Jun 1, 8:14pm
I look at your post at 6.30 and still looking at that website. Found a beautiful 62 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk going for a fair price that excited me, then from there shes just been a blur. One good car after another. Cheers for the link.

michael.benn, Jun 1, 8:28pm
Seriously! I've been wanting the '67 Impala 4dr hardtop for ages.
One like this:

How much $$$ do you think it would cost!

powerstar40, Jun 1, 9:27pm
I got a Roush P51b on the way now .

dr.doolittle, Jun 1, 9:31pm
Maybe we should import our own gas.

neville48, Jun 2, 6:26pm
Well thats just what Gull does and its better than the shite we get pushed on us by our 1 local refinery.Gulls fuel comes from the phillipines/Singapore where if you tamper with primary products.you get shot, hence the product that is imported by Gull is a superior product ,and cheaper.

tigra, May 1, 5:06pm
Wasnt Singapore the source of all that crap diesel a few years ago that damaged pump and injection seals and gaskets!
