brought a damaged motorcycle yesterday because the owner got it assessed at a dealer who told her it would cost more than it was worth to be fixed,it was 2 years old with only 4000kms and cost me under 200,got it home and as i have the same bike,i swapped one part over to the damaged one(front rim)and its sweet. so its really worth a lot more than i paid and the poor sod thought more was damaged, due to professional advice.im inclined to ring back and give them more dosh, but my bank balance isnt allowing me

You got a good deal, enjoy it. You could hand over dosh and it throws a piston the next day and they just laugh all the way to the bank

Sounds like a good deal. Well done. But just hope that was the only damage as a bent frame is hard to pick up on until you hit 200km/h. MIte ride fine up till then. Just something to keep in the back of your mind

no chance of that, its a suzuki fuel injected 125cc,still worth a good $1500,i dealt with the mother of the son who has now been put off owning bikes in the future from one hit into a kerb with a so called write off eventuating. youd think the dealership that sold the guy the bike new would have taken a better approach to keeping some up and coming youth in the game, rather than just fobbing him off, with the bike is fffed attitude, given him options or something
